La Fortuna is located less than 3.5 hours from San José Airport.

This is 82 Miles or 132 Km. You can always use the Highway 126.

If you arrive before 2 pm you can rent your car at the airport and drive to Arenal.

Before the sunset you will enjoy this destination.

If you don´t want to drive to La Fortuna, we can always set a transfer for you and take you to our facilities, there and you can rent a car in La Fortuna Costa Rica.

We reccomend to stay no more than 3 nights in La Fortuna, unless you have really planned your activities for more days

From La Fortuna it is very easy to move to the northern Lowlands and to the northern Pacific.
